Rep. Tarr’s Newsletter: End of 4th Special Session Update
As you know, the legislature adjourned the fourth special session last Sunday evening in Juneau. I’m back in Anchorage, getting settled back in, and meeting with constituents for the time being. The bad news is we adjourned without any revenue measures addressing the $3.8 billion deficit, so the Governor has already scheduled the fifth special session to begin on July 11th until August 16th. It’s looking like the special session will be in Juneau, but if that changes I’ll let you know.

Rep. Tarr’s Newsletter: Today: Public Testimony for PFD Bill
Today in the House Finance Committee, there will be public testimony for the PFD bill, SB 128. You can go to the Anchorage Legislative Information Office building located at 716 W. 4th Avenue, or call in at 844-586-9085, before 4:30 if you want to testify. Please limit your testimony to 2 minutes. You can also view the Finance Committee meeting, and listen in on Gavel to Gavel.

Rep. Tarr’s Newsletter: Juneau Update & 2 Great Neighborhood Events This Weekend
On Monday, the Conference Committee passed a new version of HB 247, an oil and gas subsidy reform bill that impacts how much progress we can make in trying to close Alaska’s deficit gap. I was a member of the Conference Committee and was the lone no vote on this bad version of HB 247.
