Alaska is on the cusp of another historic mistake with the signing of the governor's oil wealth giveaway - a much bigger mistake than the Seward grain terminal or the Anchorage fish plant.

"One-Size-Fits-All Never Fit Alaska" - We pushed the governor to apply for the waiver to No Child Left Behind. He did, and now Alaska has the authority to set up its own Alaskan standards for education and its own accountability measures. Not to mention our schools are now avoiding the worst punitive parts of that unworkable top-down law.
