Today, I announced my resignation from the Alaska State House of Representatives to accept a poistion with Stanford University as Visiting Fellow with the Center for Ocean Solutions. There are a few moments in life that are both happy and sad, and this is one of them. It has been my greatest privilege and pleasure to serve Juneau for fifteen years and Petersburg, Skagway, Gustavus, Tenakee Springs, Kupreanof, Excursion Inlet, and Hobart Bay for the past year.

NEWS: Rep. Kerttula Resigns from Legislature to Join Stanford University as Visiting Fellow

Today, Representative Beth Kerttula (D-Juneau), the House Democratic Leader, resigned her seat in the Alaska State House of Representatives effective Friday, January 24 to accept a position as Visiting Fellow at the Center for Ocean Solutions at Stanford University starting February 3.
