Today, Representative Scott Kawasaki pre-filed legislation to ensure Alaskans know whether the foods they are buying have been genetically engineered and to what extent. The legislation (HB219) would require all genetically modified (GMO) food sold in Alaska to be labeled clearly with information related to whether and how it was genetically modified.
