In the last month, the release of the revenue forecast and the budget from the governor’s administration have shown just how much of a toll the oil wealth giveaway will take on the state’s economic future. But it doesn’t have to be that way and hopefully in the next year, the Legislature and the voters can turn it around.

This time of year in Fairbanks is beautiful, if cold. I hope the warmth of the season reaches you as you spend time with family and loved ones. The interim has gone by quickly and I have been busy preparing for the upcoming Legislative session in January.
