Dear Neighbors, Thanksgiving Day is tomorrow and I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. I often write about the warmth and generosity of our community and believe that we live up to our title of “The Golden Heart City”. There are dozens of worthy charitable organizations, churches and groups that help those in need. They need our support year round and especially during the holiday season.

Happy Thanksgiving! This is a great time for home cooks (and enthusiastic eaters). But it’s also a time to reflect on, and give thanks for, our blessings. One hundred and fifty years before America was founded, European Christians set sail to search for religious freedom. Landing at Plymouth Rock they suffered death, disease, starvation and terrible accidents. Fewer than half survived their first winter.
