Good news for my friends and neighbors in Anchorage: there are two important events coming up this Saturday, February 22nd. First, if there is an issue before the Alaska Legislature that you are concerned about or supportive of, please come and speak up to the Anchorage Caucus from 9:00am to 2:00pm in the Assembly Chambers at the Loussac Library. JUNEAU – Representative Scott Kawasaki will host a town hall meeting in Fairbanks on Sunday February 23 in the Noel Wien Library from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Kawasaki invites Fairbanksans to a discussion on a variety issues including the proposed AK LNG gas line project, education funding, and the cost of energy.

JUNEAU – Today, House and Senate Democratic legislators announced they will hold a press conference tomorrow morning, Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. to introduce a suite of pro-public school legislation. The package of legislation would ensure public schools have the resources they need to succeed, families have more educational options within the public school system, and schools are accountable to students, parents, and employers who demand educational success for all students.
