JUNEAU – There are three days left in the first session of the 29th Alaska Legislature and vital legislation called Erin’s Law is still stalled in committee. Erin’s Law could immediately empower children to protect themselves from harm.

JUNEAU – There are five days left in the first session of the 29th Alaska Legislature and vital legislation called Erin’s Law is still stalled in committee. Erin’s Law could immediately empower children to protect themselves from harm.

This legislative session, I have continued to carry the torch for our women and children in Alaska as a way to illuminate the silent epidemics that tragically thrive in our state: child abuse and rape being the most pressing of issues.

JUNEAU – There are now 10 days left in the first session of the 29th Alaska Legislature but there is still no movement on legislation to implement Erin’s Law in Alaska. Erin’s Law has been proven in many other states to prevent child sexual abuse by requiring public school districts to offer prevention curriculum.
