I have heard from a great number of you regarding the Northern Access Road project, otherwise known as the Bragaw Bypass Extension. Now is your time to be heard by the State Department of Transportation, the Municipality of Anchorage, and the lead engineering firm on the project, DOWL HKM.
Please do not miss the first public meeting discussing the project this Tuesday August 27th, from 6 to 8pm at East High School (commons area)!

Last month the 4th annual Food Film Festival was held and hundreds attended showings of GMO: OMG. I was proud to play a part in this year’s festival and share information about the GMO labeling legislation. The support for this legislation is fantastic! Rep. Andy Josephson’s Newsletter: A Time to Learn: Committees and Conferences

While the legislature is out of session, bills cannot be passed by the House or Senate to become law; however, committees do meet for informational hearings on specific issues or pieces of legislation.
I have spent the past couple of weeks (with the exception of several wonderful hikes around town in the gorgeous weather!) attending committee hearings and conferences to become a better informed representative.
