The budget and the legalization of recreational marijuana continue to be big themes this legislative session. The Legislature is waiting for Governor Walker’s detailed budget so we can start discussions and make decisions about program funding. I also must say thank you to a large swath of Alaska that no longer will be part of my district in this upcoming legislative session. For the first time in my 12 years of service, my area will be completely within the Fairbanks North Star Borough.
