NEWS: Alaskans Encouraged to Take Part in Food Waste Challenge

Rep. Geran Tarr Juneau – Alaska is food insecure, with only 3-5 days of food supply in grocery stores. Representative Geran Tarr (D-Anchorage) is continuing her work to address food security by hosting the Second Annual Alaska Food Security Awareness Week, which will run March 21-25 with events in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, and Sitka. Representative Kawasaki (D-Fairbanks) has joined Rep. Tarr in co-sponsoring events next week.

I will be back home in Fairbanks this weekend and I want to see you and hear your ideas about the budget, education, and other important issues facing the Legislature. On Sunday (March 20), I will be holding my second annual Pad Thai and Politics lunch from 1 to 3 PM at Lemongrass Thai Cuisine (388 Old Chena Pump Rd) in Chena Pump Plaza.
