News: Creamer’s Field Expansion Moves from House Resources Committee
Juneau - The House Resources Committee unanimously moved House Bill 70 to expand the Creamer’s Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge out of committee today. This legislation, sponsored by Rep. Adam Wool (D-Fairbanks) and Rep. Scott Kawasaki (D-Fairbanks), would add four state-owned parcels to the popular Fairbanks refuge.

NEWS: House Minority Members Respond to Governor’s State of the Budget Address
JUNEAU – Alaska Governor Bill Walker presented his first State of the Budget address Thursday night. Governor Walker outlined both short and long-term plans to deal with a daunting fiscal crisis brought on by declining oil production and prices. The House Minority, made up of Democrats and an Independent, appreciates the care Governor Walker took in suggesting ideas for the Alaska Legislature to consider in the coming months.

Greetings from the State Capitol in Juneau! It’s a lot wetter and warmer here than back home. The wet weather doesn’t dampen our spirits though. On Tuesday, I took the oath of office and began my term as your representative for Geist, College, Chena Ridge, Chena Pump, University West, Cripple Creek, UAF Campus, Richardson, and the Parks Highway neighborhoods in Fairbanks.
