Rep. Kawasaki’s Juneau Note: Healy Clean Coal Plant, Make Your Vote Count, PFD Time

Success: Compromise Reached on Healy Coal Restart

I applaud the decision reached between the Environmental Protection Agency, Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority, and Golden Valley Electrical Association to move forward with the restart of the dormant coal plant in Healy. Please remember to slow down and beware for flashing yellow lights to keep our kids safe this school year. School zones are marked at 20 miles an hour for safety.

And perhaps purchasing school supplies, or taking one final meander down the Chena River. I wish everyone a productive, safe and enjoyable end to the summer months.
