Democratic Legislators to Announce Oil Tax Alternative

House and Senate Democrats to hold press conference today to introduce oil tax alternative

 

JUNEAU – Today, House and Senate Democratic legislators will hold a press conference to introduce their proposal to get more oil into the pipeline and protect Alaska’s economy. Senate Democratic Leader Johnny Ellis (D-Anchorage) and House Democratic Whip Chris Tuck (D-Anchorage) will lead the press conference, and other Democratic legislators from the House and Senate will present the bill and discuss how it encourages new fields, gets more oil from existing fields, and uses other non-tax ways to get more Alaska oil to market.
