This week, the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities continues to hold public meetings on the Alaska Marine Highway System. The goal of the meetings is to lead a constructive dialogue around the fiscal challenges that face AMHS. Here are this week’s meeting times/places:
Juneau: Tuesday, Dec 15, 6-8pm at the CBJ Assembly Chambers.
Haines: Wednesday, Dec 16, 5-7pm at the Haines Assembly Chambers.
These meetings provide an opportunity for Alaskans to hear from department officials, ask questions, and present potential solutions regarding short- and long-term operating possibilities for AMHS. If you can’t attend in person, call toll free 1-800-315-6338 (code 03902#) to participate. I’ll be at both meetings, and I look forward to hearing your input.
