Dear Neighbors,

Here is a quick update on some very important deadlines and opportunities coming up very soon:

Dividend Deadline is March 31

If you haven’t done so yet, please don’t forget to apply for your 2014 Permanent Fund Dividend. The deadline to apply is March 31, or five days from now.

Because of good stock market performance, this year’s PFD will be the largest in years.  You can apply online at http://pfd.alaska.gov/, or call the Permanent Fund Dividend office at 269-0370 to find your nearest location and fill the application out by hand.

Municipal Election April 1.

There is an important Anchorage Municipal Election on April 1. Multiple Assembly and School Board seats are up for election, and there are a number of bond proposition to be voted on.  Make your vote count!

To find your polling location, call 243-VOTE.

If you don’t know your polling location, you can vote early at City Hall - but only from now through March 31, the day before the election.  They are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Free Dental Care – April 11 and 12, 2014
Mission of Mercy Alaska

The Alaska Mission of Mercy will be providing free dental care at the Dena’ina Center, 600 W. 7th Avenue, Friday April 11 and Saturday April 12, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Free dental care for up to 2,000 patients in just 2 days!
• Children and adults
• First come, first served
• No application process, no income limitations

The main goal of the Alaska Mission of Mercy is to relieve pain and infection.  It is unlikely that all of your dental needs will be met at this clinic.  Your most immediate needs will be addressed. You will receive a list of community dental resource where you can continue your dental care.  Your patience and understanding is appreciated.
