State Budget Testimony Today
Dear Neighbors,
If you are in Anchorage you can testify to the House Finance Committee on the state budget today from 1:00-4:30 pm. On Monday the committee heard from Juneau residents, and they are working their way around the state. Today is Anchorage’s turn.
You can testify via teleconference from Anchorage at the Anchorage LIO from 1:00-4:30 pm today. You can watch the hearings live, or archived on Gavel to Gavel TV.
The committee would prefer it if people go in person to the legislative information office which is at 716 W 4th Avenue between H and G streets. If you are not able to testify in person please feel free to send written testimony to lhscfin@akleg.gov. It would be great if you could copy me as well at Rep.Chris.Tuck@akleg.gov. I look forward to hearing from you.
There are lots of proposed budget cuts, and there has been big turnout for the public testimony so far.
