On Saturday, February 14, the Interior Delegation and I will host a public forum to discuss the progress of the last three weeks in Juneau and what direction we can take the 29th Alaska State Legislature. We will be covering some difficult and interesting topics this session and your input is vital in making sure Fairbanks continues to be a fantastic place to live, work and raise a family. I look forward to reconnecting with neighbors and friends while having a candid conversations about how we can improve our state.

1 p.m. – Open office for individual meetings at the LIO
2 p.m. – Lunch at Bahn Thai Downtown
5:30 p.m. – UAF Chinese New Year at the Wood Center
7 p.m. – UAF Nanook Hockey at the Carlson Center

 

Need help with taxes?

Free tax preparation and electronic filing by AARP Tax-Aide Volunteers at the Noel Wien Library.

Tax Preparation Assistance

When: Every Tuesday 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Every Saturday 12 pm. – 3 p.m. until April 15, 2015.
Who: Open to the public

There are many items you will need to bring with you that are necessary to complete your taxes. A full list can be found here. Not all items on this list apply to everyone, but it is important to remember that they cannot prepare your taxes without a picture ID and Social Security card.

The Fairbanks Senior Center will also have AARP Tax-Aide Volunteers available for seniors by appointment only on Thursdays 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling 452-1735.
