Face-to-Face with your Legislators

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

In the past few weeks I have received countless emails on important subjects like ending cuts to our public school teachers, supporting efforts toward a large diameter gasline, opposing the constitutional amendment to allow public funds to go to private and/or religious schools, as well as emails about local issues such as the UMed/Northern Access Road.

Mark Nelson is a College Gate neighbor who came to visit me in Juneau. I am excited to meet with more of our neighbors this Saturday in Anchorage!

Anchorage Caucus:

I truly enjoy receiving emails from my friends and neighbors voicing comments, concerns, and questions. However, there is nothing more impressionable than a face-to-face interaction.

This Saturday February 22nd from 9am – 2pm at the Loussac Library is your chance to talk to your elected representatives in Anchorage about whatever you would like.

Please join us this Saturday to share your thoughts and opinions with me as well as the other Anchorage legislators.

What: Anchorage Caucus
Date: Saturday, February 22nd
Time: 9am – 2pm
Where: Assembly Chambers, Loussac Library

In addition, parents, students, business members, and other community members are gathering for a “Rally for Our Students” from 1-2pm at the Loussac Library during Anchorage Caucus. Join to show your support for our students and teachers in public education!

If you are still looking for ways to be involved after Anchorage Caucus and the “Rally for Our Students,” join community members on Sunday February 23rd at 4pm for a community meeting to rally thoughts and voices on the UMed/Northern Access Road. Bring friends, snacks, and your ideas to the UAA green space near Mosquito Lake.
