The Legislature Convenes

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

My wife, Donna, and father, Joe, after my Oath of Office
My wife, Donna, and father, Joe, after my Oath of Office

As we enter week three of the 28th State Legislature, the office is now settled, committee assignments have been finalized, and I have been enjoying connecting with many different groups and organizations, including several of our neighbors from District 15.

One resident of the College Village neighborhood met with me to let me know of the need for more lighting on Zarvis St. between Wentworth and Redwood. If you agree or if you have similar requests, please feel free to call or email me.

The legislative work will be made easier when district residents call, write, and give advice on bills to make them better. My priority while I am in Juneau is to serve the interests of my neighbors.

The House Democratic caucus has identified several areas of focus for this legislative session: Education, Economy, and Energy. I look forward to working across party lines to come up with innovative and positive solutions to issues surrounding these three themes. I am honored to work on such important issues on behalf of my fellow Alaskans.

A recent and very exciting visitor to my office was Katie Hurley, who was the Chief Clerk to the Alaska Constitutional Convention in 1955. It was a privilege to meet and talk with such an instrumental Alaskan figure!

I am committed to being available and easily accessible while I am in Juneau, so please call me on my cell phone (907-575-ANDY (2639)) which I have dedicated to District 15 residents.

I Answer to You!

Sincerely,

Andy Josephson[signed]
