Enjoy refreshment and learn about services provided by the Fairbanks Legislative Information Office. I look forward to seeing you!

Congratulations to Governor Walker and Lt. Governor Mallott

As I watched the inauguration on TV yesterday, I was overwhelmed by this historic moment. Regardless of politics the swearing in any Governor signals a new start for Alaska and I look forward to working with the new administration to tackle the big issues in front of us. I want to say a special thank you to Governor Parnell and his wife Sandy for their years of service to Alaska and wish them the best.

As a new team comes in, I hope that as Alaskans we will take this opportunity to let the new Administration know about our issues and concerns. Transitions can be painful, but they are great opportunity to bring up issues as officials learn the ropes.

It’s not just a new administration you will find in Juneau. The House Minority Caucus is adding three new members, Representative-Elect Adam Wool (D-Fairbanks), Representative-Elect Matt Claman (D-Anchorage) and Representative-Elect Dan Ortiz (I-Ketchikan). These three, along with all House of Representative members, will be sworn in at the start of the January legislative session.

Thank you for reading and please feel free to call my office and share your ideas.
