Dear Friends and Neighbors:
Please join me and Senator Johnny Ellis for a Legislative Session update, and a slice or two or three of pizza this Saturday, from 12pm to 2pm at the Fairview Recreation Center. We’d like to hear from you, and give you an update on what we’ve been working on, including:
- Public Education (we feel it’s time to stop cutting teachers and staff, and reverse the last 3 years of school cuts) and an effort to use state money for private and religious schools
- Yet another gasline bill (the 5th in 10 years!)
- HB 77 - a bill we feel lets mines like Pebble take millions of gallons of water from important fishing streams, and that poses a threat to our world’s greatest fisheries
- Any of the bills and topics you want to talk about
We also expect a call from US Senator Mark Begich. So far we have not heard back from Sen. Murkowski or Rep. Young that they will join.
We hope you can join us, and we look forward to seeing you! As always, call if we can help with anything.

Best Regards,
