House Bill 7 "Minimum Wage : Health Care Deduction"
HB 7 allows for an employer and her/his employee to agree to an hourly wage up to $2.00 less than the minimum wage if she/he uses that amount of money to provide for "adequate health care, as defined by the commissioner." Many part-time and minimum-wage workers in Alaska are working without benefits. This bill provides an incentive for employers to provide Alaskans with health care. Extras: HB7 bill root
