Bettye Davis's Personal Web Message| I am proud to represent District K during this, the 24th Alaska State Legislative session.
Although our state is now enjoying the fruits of the high price of oil, my focus has not changed. The federal "No Child Left Behind Act" continues to be a challenge, but I believe it is important that all children have a chance at a quality education. My priorities still include adequate funding for schools, open and honest government, protecting the permanent fund dividend, and a long-range fiscal plan that encourages economic development leading to high paying jobs for all Alaskans. Examples of possible economic growth are the building of an Alaskan Natural Gas Pipeline and the opening of the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge. As an elected official, my promise to you is that my goal will be "Putting Alaskans First -- Moving Alaska Forward". It is important that each of us remember that when we are in Juneau, we are there to make decisions that are in the best interest of all Alaskans. If you are new to my District, please browse through my website, on it you will find the current list of bills that I am sponsoring and co-sponsoring. Remember I'm here for you, if you have any questions or concerns about our district or any statewide issues do not hesitate to contact me. My phone numbers here in Anchorage are 269-0144 office, 269-0148 fax. We are in Juneau from January until May and those numbers are 465-3822 office, 465-3756 fax, or you can call me toll free at 1-800-770-3822. My email address is: Senator_Bettye_Davis@legis.state.ak.us. Working with me in my Anchorage office this summer and fall are Legislative Aides Richard Benavides and Vanessa Salinas. Give us a call or stop by here in Anchorage at the Anchorage Legislative Information Office (LIO) at 716 w. 4th Ave, Suite 450. If you come to Juneau, we are now in Room 11 on the ground floor. Thank you all for your support. Senator Bettye Davis |
