Dear Friends and Neighbors,

|
| Harriet getting her picture taken for a READ poster at the Alaska State library. |
It’s been a blustery and busy week here in the Capitol, and I’m extremely heartened by how many constituents have called, emailed, and stopped by my office this week to share their ideas on how to improve Anchorage both economically and culturally.
By now you should have received our Beginning of Session Survey in the mail. Please take some time to fill it out and mail it back to us.
We really do take each individual survey we receive very seriously, and they’re a good way for you to let us know what you think. If you’re not on our mailing list, or didn’t receive it for some other reason, you can fill out our electronic version.
Speaking of neighbors keeping in touch, I’d like to direct you to a website I recently came across: Nextdoor.com
Nextdoor is essentially a social network site like Facebook, but specific to the people that live in your neighborhood. It’s a good way to talk to your neighbors about lost pets, community events, neighborhood crime watch, or any other issues that affects the area you live in.
Thank you,
