Vote TOMORROW!

This past week has flown by! The House has worked on passing out the Supplemental, Operating, and Mental Health Budgets. The House Finance Committee is in its first week on the Petroleum Profits Tax (PPT) and the Senate Finance Committee is now working on a new version of the bill. My office has been busy working on amendments for the budgets as well as keeping up with all of the information on PPT. Before coming down to Juneau this year, I made a commitment to try and save part of the budget surplus by depositing the sum into the Permanent Fund. On Wednesday, I kept that promise by proposing amendment #6 to the budget. The amendment did not pass, but I will continue to advocate for fiscal discipline.

This Tuesday, April 4, is the Municipal Election. The Municipality of Anchorage has two websites designed to give more information on the bond measures and on where to vote. The first is the Municipal Clerk’s office - http://muni.org/assembly2/election.cfm. Second, the My Neighborhood website will allow you to input your address and you will be able to locate your polling place. Click here - http://neighborhood.muni.org

This election has a few different ballot propositions, which can be confusing. If you need more information on the issues the League of Women Voters has created a ballot review to help guide us all through the maze. The review can be found here - http://muni.org/Assembly2/BallotProps.cfm.

As always, please feel free to contact me with any issues, questions, or concerns at 1-800-689-4998 or email me directly at Representative_Eric_Croft@legis.state.ak.us.
