Making Your Voice Heard is
as Easy as 1,2,3!

#1  On Saturday, all Anchorage residents are invited to a meeting of the Anchorage Caucus.  I am a member of this bi-partisan group that focuses on issues important to the Anchorage area.  We will discuss legislative issues, as well as hear presentations from Mayor Begich, the Anchorage Assembly, the school district and the school board.  The public is invited and encouraged to participate in the meeting.  We will begin at 10:00 AM in the Anchorage School District Offices in the old Boniface Mall, on the corner of Northern Lights and Boniface.

#2 Saturday afternoon, Sen. Bettye Davis, Rep. Sharon Cissna and I will be hosting an East Anchorage Constituent Meeting.  Department of Revenue Deputy Commissioner Marcia Davis will be there to present information and answer questions about Governor Palin's Alaska Gasline Inducement Act (AGIA).  I hope you will attend our meeting and share your thoughts on this new proposal. Our constituent meeting will be from 2:30-4:30 PM on Saturday at Baxter Elementary, on the corner of Baxter and Northern Lights.  We will provide pizza and refreshments.

#3  The House Finance Committee invites Anchorage residents to comment on the State's budget Monday, March 19 from 4-6 PM.  You can testify via teleconference at the Anchorage Legislative Information Office (716 W. 4th Avenue, second floor).  Your input helps us identify areas where efficiencies could be made, as well as determine what functions of government are most important to the public.

As always, I look forward to listening to your thoughts on the issues most important to you and your family.  If you aren't able to attend these meetings in person, feel free to give me a call or drop me a line.
