Dear Neighbor,
Later this month, the Alaska Legislature will be convening to discuss what may be the most important issue of my legislative career – fixing Alaska’s oil taxes.
I want to hear from you. Alaska’s oil and gas belongs to every Alaskan. That makes your input important. To help facilitate this process, I have worked with Representatives Harry Crawford, Berta Gardner, Sharon Cissna and Les Gara and Senators Bettye Davis and Bill Wielechowski to host a town hall meeting.
Saturday, October 6
from 1:00pm to 3:00pm
at East High School
The oil tax revisions passed by the last Legislature (before I was elected) have been called into question by the recent corruption indictments and the conviction of Former Representative Pete Kott. That said, I am going into this process with an open mind. The Governor, other legislators and the oil industry all have different opinions on what is best for the state.
If you can’t make it there, feel free to call me at 269-0117 or send me email at Rep.Bob.Buch@legis.state.ak.us. I always like to hear from my constituents whether it be on this or any other issue.
Best,
Bob
