Hello! My name is Bettye Davis.
As your State Senator from District K (representing Airport Heights, Basher, Northeast, Russian Jack and Scenic Foothills), I'm fighting hard for our future - Alaska's children.

I want to make sure that our kids receive the very best education possible so that they can get good paying jobs in the future. I also want to make sure that the State of Alaska does all that it can to attract and retain qualified teachers. We can do this by paying our teachers competitive salaries and benefits. We also must make sure that these teachers have the tools to teach our kids through increased education funding. These issues are among my top priorities.

I believe that each of us deserves to live the American dream right here in Alaska. I'm working hard to strengthen the position of you and your families and communities, especially those in underserved communities.

As your legislator, I always want to hear about the issues affecting the welfare of you and your community. Please contact my office at any time
with your questions or concerns. I also encourage you to visit my website to find out about current bills before the Legislature, news releases and other issues.

I look forward to serving you.

Senator Bettye Davis (second from right) joins from left to right, Reps. Beth Kerttula, Mary Kapsner and Peggy Wilson and Senator Georgianna Lincoln for a panel discussion held recently at the University of Alaska Southeast for a Women's Legislative Forum. Panelist were asked to share their views on how women can be more affective in the political process. Professor Virginia Mulle, a professor at UAS, served as moderator.
