Berkowitz BulletinVolume 3, #5 March 23, 1999
Juneau - We reached the midway point in the first session of the 21st Alaska State Legislature on Friday, March 19. Because I feel the decisions we make this year are so important, I am sending out a newsletter to people throughout District 13. The newsletter is scheduled to arrive in the mail later this week but, if you would like a sneak preview complete with color graphics, you can download it from my web site at:
http://www.akdemocrats.org/bios/ebpics/EBnews032299.pdf
Please note this document may only be viewed using Adobe Acrobat but, if you do not have it, there is a link from my home page to Adobe's page where you can download the necessary software.
In other news, House and Senate Democrats announced last week that our support for another Constitutional Budget Reserve (CBR) fund withdrawal is conditioned on a long term fiscal plan that is both fair and honest. Year to year crisis budgeting divides our state and prevents us from preparing for the future. The full text of the press release is available at:

As always, I continue to seek your input in order to do our job better. If you have opinions about any topic be sure to contact me, I will do my best to keep you informed.
