I
am proud to represent District K during this the 23rd Alaska
State Legislative session.
My
focus has not changed. The new federal "No Child Left Behind
Act" is going to be a challenge but I believe it is important
that all children have a chance at a quality education.
My
priorities still include adequate funding for schools, open
and honest government, protecting the permanent fund dividend,
and a long-range fiscal plan that encourages economic development
leading to high paying jobs for all Alaskans. Examples of possible
economic growth are the building of an Alaskan Natural Gas Pipeline
and the opening of the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge.
As
an elected official, my promise to you is that my goal will
be "Putting Alaskans First -- Moving Alaska Forward".
It is important that each of us remember that we are in Juneau
to make decisions that are in the best interest of all Alaskans.
If
you are new to my District, please browse through my website,
on it you will find the current list of bills that I am sponsoring
and co-sponsoring.
