The Alaska Health Insurance Working Group met for the sixth time on February 5th in Anchorage. The Working Group is seeking information that will lead to more affordable health insurance in Alaska. Discussion centers around reports and plans currently promoted or envisioned.

The ongoing study includes input from all members of the public that are affected by the increasing costs of health insurance. The group is currently listening to and collecting the stories of people affected by this pervasive problem, as well as gathering previous reports and research on the issue.

"Solving the affordable health insurance issue is important to all Alaskans," Rep. Cissna said. "Those most impacted by decreasing affordable health insurance are the self-employed, small businesses, and non-profit employees."
